Networking as a freelancer.

By Protima Tiwary

You’ve GOT TO network: this is one of the basic rules that you must follow as a freelancer.

you've got to: talk about your work, discuss your work with other people, be curious about what your peers are doing, and push boundaries to meet potential leads at events

Unfortunately, the lockdown has made it difficult for us to meet in person, and networking events have now either moved online or stopped completely.

For those of you who are feeling a little lost when it comes to networking in these times, here are three questions you must ask yourself.

You’ve got to dive in with a networking strategy if you don’t wish to waste any time. The first step here is identifying who it is that you are trying to reach.

Currently, the internet is the only networking venue for freelancers, so divert your attention to social media while you stay home during a pandemic.

A network doesn’t always have to consist of Founders, CEOs and important business heads.Start from close contacts.

It doesn’t matter if you are new to freelancing or if you have been here for years, you have to take out time for networking.
