I had the chance to review the Sizzle Festival at Hard Rock Cafe this weekend. Being the morning/day person that I am , I decided to try this one out for lunch. A well made decision I must say.
‘Sizzle at Hard Rock Cafe’ started on February 20, 2015 and is on till March 19, 2015. Should you be giving this a miss? Hell no! Because missing out on the Smoked Chipotle Pepper, Lime & Tequila Prawns will haunt you for the rest of your lives, I kid you not.
The afternoon started off with a round of drinks (mine with *minimum* alcohol) I’m going to leave you with a few pictures to figure out exactly how refreshing it all was-
The Bacardi Rum Punch (with limited alcohol)
The very famous Long Island Iced Tea (so strong, it made me cringe- in other words, the alcohol lovers are going to LOVE this!)
The star performer of the afternoon was the Smoked Chipotle Pepper, Lime & Tequila Prawns. I am literally drooling while writing this- cheesy mashed potatoes with humongous prawns, grilled veggies, rice and POTATO WEDGES! You need to be uber talented to come up with this beauty, so firstly- full marks to the chef! Can you PLEASE make this a regular on the menu? PLEASE? I wouldn’t want ANYBODY to miss out on this.
The Grilled Chicken Makhani was a little disappointing though- I am not a big fan of sweet curries with rice. Even the grilled chicken was a little dry from the insides. My friend seemed to like it though- so if you are in the mood for something Indian and sweet, you could give this a try.
The Hungarian Steak Stew was beautiful- HRC has always got it’s beef right. Loved the texture, the beef was well-cooked, and the barbeque sauce was a big hit. Brownie points for potato wedges!
I really wish I could have eaten the Oriental Seafood Delight, but if time permits I think I will drop by sometime next week.Until then I really want you to try out the Sizzle Festival at HRC- the Smoked Chipotle Pepper, Lime & Tequila Prawns is not something you want to miss out on!!!
