Dumbbells and Drama

Tiramisu - Courtyard by Marriott Pune City Centre.jpgTiramisu in Italian means “Pick me up” And what better way than creamy mascarpone mousse and lady fingers soaked in coffee? (The alcoholic version can be made with rum or kahlua)

I do not have words to describe this recipe. I honestly thought this would be time consuming and complicated. I’m out of words because not only does this cake take almost no time, but it is one of the most divine desserts in the world!

Let’s get down to it right away-

200gm Mascarpone Cheese

50gm Icing Sugar

140gm Whipped Cream

Cocoa powder (for garnish)

Lady Fingers

1. Cream the cheese and sugar in a bowl. Fold in the whipped cream gently.

Do not over-whisk it. 10 seconds should be enough.

2.  Soak the lady fingers in coffee syrup. For the coffee syrup you’d need coffee, sugar and water (something on the lines of your black coffee)

3.  Place the lady fingers in plastic cups, and pipe the tiramisu cream into the cups. Dust some cocoa powder on top.

Set it for 15-20min in the refrigerator.

*If you are making the cake, use 80gm of gelatin for one kilogram of the cake.

Also, this is eggless (Yay? Nay?)

All right, that’s it. It’s done. It’s that simple. It wasn’t rocket science. Will you be baking this? You have to. Please do? And when you do, let me know? Please please please? You absolutely MUST try this at home. It’s fun. Whatever you do, just make them!
