We recently made La Plage in Ashvem our work-stations for a few hours, and I must say that along with the food, service, a great selection of beers and a gorgeous view, La Plage set all types of goals for remote workers. Here are some pictures to prove my point –
One of the best shacks in Goa that serves authentic French food, La Plage is a Goan culinary treasure that comes coupled with great service and mind-blowing views of the sea. Soft sand under your feet, a strong sea breeze and the sound of the sea waves crashing on the shore are just some of the reasons why I loved my workstation that afternoon.
The menu here boasts of fine French cuisine, and the grilled fish, squid in carbonara sauce, tuna steak, mussles in butter garlic sauce, chicken liver pate with onion jam, and gratinated mussels come highly recommended. If you’re an adventurous foodie, you might enjoy the Chocolate Thali, Chicken Pate with Onion “Jam”, Seared Tuna with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes, Beef Carpaccio and “fusion” Bloody Mary. For desserts, do not leave without trying the crème brulee and the coffee panna cotta.
Whether you’re traveling with family, a big group of friends or in search of a place for a cute date, La Plage has something for everyone. If you’re a solo traveller or a couple looking to unwind and relax doing nothing other than eating, you’re going to love the tranquility that this beach shack has to offer. Best part? You can take a dip in the sea, indulge in a good lunch, and spend all day on the sunbeds here. Stay back for sunset if you can!
The food is a little expensive, but worth every penny. Undoubtedly one of the most stylish beach shacks in Goa, this one deserves a visit.
