Aristo Spa, Pune

After a grueling 2 weeks filled with deadlines and meetings, there came a point where I knew I couldn’t carry on anymore. A break was long due, and an invitation to Aritso Spa was God’s way of telling me “Calm down, go get this break” So I did what the Universe asked me to do – I went ahead and grabbed the opportunity by the horns :)

Before we start, here’s one thing you must know: This international chain of contemporary spa centers isn’t necessarily a spot to trek to here in Pune, but if you live in Chinchwad, Aundh, Baner or a surrounding area, it sure as hell is worth the trip.

Getting There

Aristo Spa is located in DoubleTree by Hilton, Chinchwad. Which means it is impossible to drive down regularly all the way from Pune Camp.  Once in 3 months?  Yes, sounds fine. A great idea would be to make a staycation out of it – check in to the hotel for a weekend, and enjoy spa services while you’re at it. That’s what I did the first time I visited.

Aristo Spa : Focus on Lifestyle

What immediately stands out is the focus on the client’s lifestyle. The services are designed in a way that help ease tensions created by long hours of traveling, or at the desk. Seeing how the spa is located at a business hotel, the essential spa services seem like a perfect fit for the clients.  No added frills, the ambiance is smart, hygienic and to the point: you’re here to relax, and they’ll make sure you do.  No extra jazz.

Aristo Spa from Heaven on Earth offers a whole spectrum of spa and salon services. I opted for the season special- the coconut milk therapy massage.

The Coconut Milk Massage Treatment

A special addition to this season’s spa menu, this massage aims at moisturizing your skin and giving it a silky smooth touch.  Coconut milk works great for the skin, especially in the winters, and combined with a soft tissue massage, you’re definitely in for a divine 60 minute experience.

Verdict – 9/10

  • Great service
  • Hygienic ambiance
  • Brownie points for a massage so good that I dozed off for nearly 40 minutes (sleeping is usually difficult during a massage since the pressure keeps varying or maybe the music or lighting isn’t right. Fun fact- I happen to be a choosy customer)
  • Post treatment options are great: enjoy a meal at the gorgeous rooftop restaurant Level 12, hang out in the coffee lounge, head to a fancy meal at Miyuki (oooh sushi!) or simply stay back for the weekend.

Now if only they had an outlet a little closer to home, I’d take a membership. I have tried my luck with spas in Pune, and have been left extremely disappointed. Am I going back? Yes, definitely, but this time with a full-fledged staycation.

And since it’s gifting season, they also have gift cards that can be picked up from any of the centers in the country , including those at the airport. These are redeemable all over the country.
