Dumbbells and Drama

2014 was probably one of the best years of my life. No, nothing went as per my grand life plan. Nothing miraculously fell into place all of a sudden, none of that magical stuff happened. But I still managed to be the happiest I’ve ever been. 2014 made me realize how it’s important to stay happy to get ahead in life, to be confident of myself if I wanted to win, to step out of my comfort zone and take up challenges…2014 saw me be a part of a movie, successfully launch a blog/website, stick to a workout regime, lose a whole lot of weight and be confident about myself, EAT without feeling guilty, give up drinking, be published, attend music festivals and meet some insane artists in person, successfully complete a marathon , go on a girls only trip (something I will happily tell my grand kids about) and meet someone who made me realize there are more takers to cold cheeseburst pizza and oh yeah, sarcasm.

I learnt how to let go of people who held me back, learnt how to stand up for myself & how to be independent…I learnt to accept the fact that life is short, and everything is temporary; not everything is meant to last, and if you let go of everything gracefully, it takes less than 24 hours to find a new life. Stupid as this maybe sound, I learnt that a thing called karma exists, that there really is a purpose to our lives, and if you can’t affect anyone’s life in a positive way it’s time you did some self-inspection. People will ruin your plans, and if you give them the power, they might ruin your life too. Pick up the pieces and move on, magic awaits you on the other side. I learnt how to organize the chaos around me, I learnt to let go of manipulative minds…and most importantly, I learnt how to emerge a winner. Despite all the bad events, 2014 was a great year. It made me realize that instead of following a grand plan, it’s important to seize the day and live a little.

Right now I am at a very happy place, and very positive about life. You know why? Cos this year I found my bunch of crazies. I had a great year, thank you for being a part of it

2015, we’re here to own you!
