Over 50 DMs and emails asking me about safety while working out prompted me to do some research and write this one. In this post I talk about women who have taken up the fitness journey encountering harassment, and how  do we deal with it. I’d love know your thoughts too!  There are some personal examples and some examples that my readers shared with me (no names mentioned) Point here is to acknowledge and address harassment. 5 Problems Women Face At The Gym : A Survey

The other day I was surprised to see how ZERO women had stepped into the gym during the weekend. I immediately put this up on my Instagram, asking women to tell me what makes them stay away from the gym, or what they think could be a valid reason fro women to stay away from workouts during the weekend. Most of the answers I got were along the lines of ‘I don’t have time’ ‘women need to take care of so much at home’ Fair enough, this is something that each of one us has to figure out on our own. I Doubled My Food Intake To Get A Well Defined Core

This year has been great so far, and as far as the fitness journey is concerned, if you follow me on Instagram you’ll must have realised how I’ve opted for lifting and gains earlier this year. I have gained a whole lot of muscle mass, and I have also moved up to a size 4 now, but I don’t have any regrets. My muscles are pumped, I’m sore 3 out of 7 days of the week, my glutes are beginning to pop, and life looks really good right now. You Are More Than A Dress Size

Each one of us wants to change our appearance. Someone wants to be thinner, someone wants bigger muscles, someone wants a nice butt, someone wants to gain weight, someone wants bigger calves…the list is endless. But from what I’ve seen online and offline, there seems to be a certain obsession about getting smaller. Everyone wants to be able to use “lost a dress size” to feel good. Nine out of ten times I get “HELP! I need to lose weight” in my mails/DMs. While I have nothing against this, I feel a little sad that this is the only thing that everyone is concentrating on. My First Marathon

It’s not easy, if that’s what you were expecting. The first run, the first marathon, the first race, it’s always about the nerves and anxiety and anticipation. Every runner talks about preparation first when asked about their first marathon; the actual run comes second. It’s the same in my case. I started running solely for the purpose of losing weight. I didn’t know zilch about fitness except for “I need to be thin” I started running 5km every day. I realized I was clocking in 5km at a stretch in 30-32minutes. Realising that I could put in a lot more effort pushed me to do better, and I perfected the 5km in 26-27min within a few months. Guys, finding a workout buddy is the best thing that can happen to you on your fitness journey. Your workout partner is a great reason for you to look forward to a workout every day, and a solid reason to never give up on your goals. A gym buddy not only keeps you on track, but also pushes you to challenge yourself.  Plus you need someone to let you know the extent of your progress too, isn’t it?  Don’t be scared to reach out to people, everyone could do with fun workout buddies.
