I started the wellness month of June with a break at one of the most gorgeous properties in Goa – Alila Diwa Goa. This break worked out perfectly for me for 2 reasons- the expansive property is located in South Goa, and I really needed a break from all the madness of the north of this state. Secondly, I was checking in for a Wellness program which meant good food, spa therapies, yoga, swimming and workouts by the beach, a much needed change after the hustle of Pune-Bangalore-Mumbai over the last few months. I’m glad I did this, because it was all this and much more ♥️
Over five days I enjoyed lovely spa therapies, and ate some of the most delicious grilled food and salads in Goa. The property is beautiful, the food is great, the service is great, and while all of this is definitely an experience worth splurging on, it is the connection with nature that will be the highlight of your stay here. True story.
Gorgeous old trees are spread over the expansive properties, and well manicured lawns and palm-lined pathways make this a getaway close to nature. There is a lot of space to walk around, the air is fresh, the roads are lined by thick shrubs, and if you get out for a walk post sunset you might feel that you are walking around a mini jungle. It’s surreal ♥️
Another highlight here was my session with the counselor, something completely last minute and almost life changing 🙂 What was supposed to be basic consultation to know more about the Wellness program turned into a therapy session where we discussed emotional and mental health, something that left me with a renewed sense of confidence. This Wellness program is not specific only to June; you can sign up for this at any time of the year. And if you’re wondering if a stay at this property is worth it, I will close my eyes and say “yes” a 100 times over ♥️
