Dumbbells and Drama

Not many know my interest in spirituality and that I’ve slowly been taking an active interest in studying the healing sciences. I’ve met several healers, spoken with a bunch of psychics, also spoken to experts about mental health and the power of positive thinking, and several times been an audience to “science vs spirituality” debates. There’s a lot that remains to be learnt, and while I’m on this wonderful journey, I’m going to share my experiences with some lovely people I meet along the way.

First up is Dimple Dhalwani, one of the supremely positive, fun people I’ve come across. We were scheduled for a meeting for 2 hours, and we ended 6 hours later, happily discussing the power of positive thinking over a chicken biryani loaded lunch. Excerpts –

Who is Dimple Dhalwani?
She is a lightworker, energy healer and a psychic reader. Having started her journey at the tender age of 18, she today has a global presence. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, she has a strong client base across India, Hongkong, Singapore and Africa.

If you could use 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?
Perfectionist. Amiable. Reliable.

Let’s talk about healing- why did you take it up?
Okay I will be honest here. I started learning the occult sciences purely out of boredom. I distinctively remember the Christmas of 2006 when the entire family had decided to stay at home instead of taking the annual vacation. Not knowing what to do with so much free time I took up a course on Numerology. Surprisingly I loved what I had chosen, and there’s been no looking back since then. I then started exploring different subjects and modalities and continue doing it till date.
If there’s one thing you’d want people to really understand about healing, what would it be?
Healing is simpler said than done. Healing happens through many ways. You can be healed purely by simply talking to your friend or playing around with your pet. You can also choose to see a counselor or an energy healer. Indulging in Yoga or any physical activity or even art and craft is another way to heal. Anything that gets you to be calm and peaceful is a form of healing.
Many people have misleading views on healing. This is mainly because of limited knowledge.
Many people might find healing “scary” for lack of a better word. What do you have to say to them?
A lot of people find healing scary. It’s usually because of 2 reasons, namely-
a.) They tend to get intimidated with the healers they meet
b.) Healing takes courage. It brings out some inner wounds that you never knew existed, or opens up hidden wounds again. People are scared to revisit painful memories.
But I must have you know, sadly this is essential for healing.
If given a chance to do a reading for a celebrity , who would you want it to be and why?
Narendera Modi all the way! There’s something about him that no one has,he has the courage and willpower to bring about changes in a country like India. Plus our birthdays are just 2 days apart and I think that’s exciting 😀
What does “Love” mean to you?
Love to me is purely unconditional. It’s liberating. It’s free and flexible. It’s doesn’t hold back; love means growth. It means
you genuinely want the other person to be happy, even if you’re not a part of that happiness! You let the flower bloom where it is supposed to be and go admire the beauty rather than plucking it .
What was the highlight of 2016 for you?
Having worked for 10 years out of my home 2016 was definitely path breaking for me because I finally  set up my own Healing Center.6836d3c8-51b5-40ae-9388-fe564013307e
Any piece of advice you’d like to give someone who’s wishing to explore spirituality?
Spirituality has no rules! Explore, read and learn about different ways that lead to spirituality but don’t get caught up in the jargon of rules and staunch beliefs that bind even spiritual practices in modern days.
Because at the end of it all we are all love and meant to do only one thing- love.

Don’t know about you, but there is a lot of happiness and positive vibes associated with her thoughts. You’re going to be seeing more of her on the blog soon. Stay tuned, there’s a small activity I’d like you to participate in too!
