Dumbbells and Drama

I tried crystal healing therapy recently, and I’ll be honest I had not planned to blog about it. Since it was a first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience helped me bust a lot of myths and cleared a lot of preconceived notions, and I found myself thinking “Okay, let’s talk about this one!” A few people reached out to me on Instagram too, and that’s when I knew I had to write this.

I tried the Crystal Healing Therapy at Hyatt Pune (a 45 minutes therapy with Dr. Kedar) I thought this would be a guided meditation with the help of crystals ( I have been for a couple of guided meditation classes in the past when I needed help with stress and a few low points in life) and was pretty comfortable trying out this new form of therapy. It was when Dr Kedar explained the procedure that I got a little hesitant, because it was not what I thought it would be.

He told me that he would help balance my energies and chakras with the help of crystals… by using his energy. Now this sounded super vague, intrusive to an extent of feeling dangerous (I happen to be extremely territorial about my space so I got a little more uncomfortable than usual) I had a lot of questions in my mind but I didn’t know how to frame them. I also didn’t want to disrespect Dr Kedar by making it sound as though I was blaming him for something wrong. I am sure all of this was seen on my face because his next question to me was “You seem confused, ask what you have to” And I slowly tried getting my point across, choosing my words carefully.

My first doubt was- isn’t chakra healing really intense and a very long procedure, and isn’t it advised to control the healing on your own instead of letting somebody else take control?
Dr Kedar patiently explain how how chakra healing is indeed a long procedure and is conducted in steps. The first step is to cleanse the aura, then you go ahead and balance the energy in your body, and only then do we come to the chakras. This entire process would easily take 6-10 sessions.

I then wanted to know about the the last and most important chakra in our body – the sacral chakra. I have heard a lot of stories where during chakra healing the students lost control and had extremely difficult times after sessions, and it was all due to imbalance in the sacral chakra. If this was the case, shouldn’t there be some sort of precaution taken before working with the chakras?
Dr. Kedar explain how it differs from individual to individual and a lot had to do with the the emotional and mental well being. But since it is the last stage of Crystal healing, there is a lot of work that has already been done, and in his years of experience of doing this he had not faced a bad situation.

So how does this work? Would I just have to lie down while he did all the work, or would there be some sort of meditative practice required from me too? Dr Kedar asked me to lie down and placed the crystals on my chakras, asking me to relax. After this he started the therapy. Next thing you know it had been 45 minutes and I was at the end of the session feeling relaxed, calm, a little strange, overwhelmed and really happy. It is after the session that I realised I had to talk about it because I had gone there with such a wrong mind set, and I am really glad that I went ahead with this because well, it was genuinely reliving.

As soon as he asked me to relax I started my meditation where I focused on my breathing, and slowly started concentrating on my third eye. It was a smooth process with just a few highlights that I must talk about- There was a point when I I felt I was being pulled into a different.. .. dimension? Space? I don’t know what to call it, but I felt I was being taken to another scene. There were a few vivid flashes of beautiful landscapes in front of my eyes, and that’s all that I remember.
Then there were points when I was really happy and super confident and I kept telling myself ‘you’ve got this” I wish I could explain how FREE I felt, but words fail me.

The entire experience for me was relaxing, and those happy highlights made me see things differently. There was something within me that woke up and said – charge ahead.

It is definitely an experience I would recommend you try if crystal healing is something that you have been considering. If not, meditation and guided meditation and other therapies are always available and I suggest you seriously invest time in taking care of emotional and mental health too. Having a fit body is nothing if you are mind is not at rest. I have been talking a lot about mental and emotional health also on my Instagram profile. Hit follow if you’re up for reading long captions ?♥️

If there is anything that you want to ask me about my experience with crystal healing therapy please go ahead. I will be glad to help ♥️
