5 Ways To Eat Smart With Gaia Good Health

Well, I’ve been trying to eat healthy. While I do work out almost every day (30 minutes a day)I am keeping a strict check on what I consume. Being a total foodie I’ve found it extremely to control my cravings for carbs and sugar. Over the years I’ve learnt how to set aside 1 day a month for pizza, 1 cheat meal a week and I also time my snacks as per my workout (eg : sugar is digested till 2 hours after a workout, proteins are great for post-workout, etc etc) Plus you know how they say it’s 40% gym and 60% diet? Yeah, so that’s true. Avoid junk for a week and you’ll see the difference in your body. In this post I’m going to share a few examples of what I eat, and hopefully I’ll be able to inspire some of you to make healthy lifestyle changes.…

Busting Myths Related To HIIT

“Oooh HIIT! I can save time and lose weight AND get a tone with only an HIIT routine! Life is sorted.” If you’ve said this to yourself at any given point in your lives, you need to read what I have to say. I should have written this earlier, my bad. I’ve been getting a lot of DMs and mails asking me to sort out HIIT workouts because you know, “I don’t wanna go to the gym I get too lazy” While I’m happy that you’re trying to stay fit and healthy, I request you to read this before you commit yourself to an HIIT routine. HIIT is filled with delusions of grandeur. I’m going to bust a few myths, and I hope I can help those of you who wish to take up this form of exercising. Myth 1 – The more I work out (HIIT) the better it is…

Fitness Is Our Lifestyle

You know how we’re all experts at giving excuses when it comes to not working out, right? Don’t agree with me? Do “I don’t have time” “I’m on vacation” “I worked out a lot yesterday so I think I should rest for the next 4 days” “I am not losing weight what’s the point” sound familiar to you? We’ve all said this at some point or the other..I have no qualms hiding this either. Laziness gets the better of us, but that doesn’t mean we give up. How will you ever see results if you give up as soon as you start? It takes 21 days to form a habit. Keep at it for 21 days and fitness and healthy living will become a part of your lifestyle. It took me 2 years to get here, and most of you have followed my journey on my social media platforms. I  work…

5 Minutes To A Happy Life

** This article has been written by Dimple Dhalwani Depression is more common than what you think it is, it’s just  the intensity that makes the difference. Whether it’s been a temporary phase of depression or a long term disease that you’ve been dealing with, let’s admit it, we have all had our low moments. Not convinced? Losing a job, death of a loved one, death of a pet, break ups, all of them make us experience depression in some form. Social rejection, peer pressure, any form of abuse, or even unequal treatment of siblings in childhood can lead on to depression. One thing to note here is that while we realise we are suffering, we do not wan to do anything about it. In fact there are times when we don’t want to accept it either! If we do wish to accept it, we make it an internal struggle and tell ourselves that…

Obliques: these run down the sides of the stomach diagonally. Transverse abdominis is an internal…

Protein Pancakes For A Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast for me is the most important meal of the day. In fact I take my breakfast meetings more seriously than my dinner meetings (sorry not sorry) Want to discuss serious business? Meet me at 8:00am. Want solutions to problems? Meet me at 8:00am. Want to take me out on a date? Meet me at 8:00am. All this with good food of course. I wake up starving, eagerly anticipating those paranthas, pancakes, eggs, coffee, sausages, French toasts and what not that wait for me at the table. You get the drift, I love breakfasts. If you want to get me to cook, you know it’s got to be breakfast. I’m taking this opportunity to share with you a healthy breakfast recipe that is also delish AF. True story. It’s tasty enough to be carried in the lunch box for that evening snack too (It’s a total hit at my workplace!) Recipe…

Gyms Can Be Intimidating & There Is No Reason To Be Embarrassed About It

If you’re someone who’s just starting their fitness journey, the hardest part is usually not the actual workout, but the fact that you need to step into a gym. Sounds familiar? I am sure it does. There is no reason to feel bad about being scared of the gym, it’s normal. It tends to get intimidating for beginners, a story I share with all of you. I’m taking this opportunity to talk to you about my experience with the gym and working out in general, how I didn’t start out on an ideal note either, and how I’ve come to own MY space in the world of fitness. Rewind to 2012 where I was living on pizzas and whiskey. I got the occasional “look at that double chin” and “you don’t wear dresses, you wear sacks to cover your body” and I was okay with it. It never made me feel…

I am extremely pleased to report that he obliged, and I couldn’t have asked for something more powerful and positive to celebrate Women’s Day with all of you. Thank you Pranav. Over to him- I must say that writing this article was a challenge. It really was! I will tell you why, but firstly a bit of introduction. My name is Pranav and I am the Founder of Towards Fulfilment. Through Towards Fulfilment, my intention is to use meditation techniques to empower people to live their lives more mindfully. I am a firm believer that ‘Mindfulness’ has the potential to solve most of the man-made problems in the world.
